I had an induction at San Leandro Medical, and Evangeline was my nurse when I first checked in. She was so kind and informative throughout the whole process. She made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. She even stayed a little past her shift because I started active labor. She walked the new nurse through my charts, and it was a great pass-off. I had such a wonderful experience!

Evangeline (Angie) was my primary support during labor. She was collaborative, answered all my questions, was patient, and had a comforting presence that helped my overall labor and delivery experience.

Nurse Angie was truly an angel during my very traumatic labor experience. She was starting her shift when I was about 24 hours into my labor. I truly don’t think my son would have been born without her help, and I personally could not have gotten through the labor without her. She was compassionate and honest and really held my hand through some very challenging complications.

I was experiencing PPROM and had to be induced. Unfortunately, the induction medications kept dropping my son‘s heart rate. This was very alarming for me and my husband, but nurse Anje provided us with the nursing as well as emotional support that we needed to get through the ups and downs of that experience. She was very descriptive about how he was being monitored and realistic about what our options were.

She knew that I was extremely stressed out and went above and beyond to provide me with additional support. She also coached me through different exercises and movements to help him get in an optimal position for pushing because he was facing the wrong direction. These moves, I believe, also were critical in helping my labor progress so that I was able to deliver vaginally.

I have never experienced more kindness and compassion from a nurse, and I am so grateful that she was assigned to that particular shift. I think I would’ve had an emergency C-section if it had not been for her support. I look forward to telling my son about her when he’s old enough to understand.

She is a superb nurse and should be recognized for going above and beyond to help her patient physically and emotionally. Thank you, Nurse Angie!

Thank you, Evangeline, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
