We had a trauma patient in the ICU for months. Eve engaged this patient through interactive activities to improve her gross and fine motor control, and eventually guided her to use her feet to "walk" in a wheelchair. Eve made sure the patient was able to take a shower and spent two days combing all the knots out of the patient's hair. She also successfully moved the patient to a regular day/night schedule. Eve went above and beyond, and the patient far exceeded expectations due to Eve's care. She is a true role model for other nurses to engage their long-term patients in the same manner.
