Evelyn has a passion for her patients, families, visitors, and coworkers. She goes out of her way to form a personal connection with everyone, no matter how complicated the situation is. The ability Evelyn has to look past flaws and obstacles shows in every interaction that she has. She has the ability to handle and manage a crisis while upholding a set of moral principles.
Evelyn is an excellent role model and has mentored peers in a way that led to better performance and outcomes with patient care. Rather than talking "about" the person, she focuses on talking "to" the person and assisting them with any obstacles they are facing. Her communication skills are genuine and she displays empathy for everyone she meets. Evelyn is always smiling, pays attention to the smallest details, and has great respect for her profession.
Evelyn personally saved a team member by assisting with the ways the team member was being perceived. She helped the team member recognize her own behaviors and make a needed change. Due to her mentorship, the team member was able to see needed changes, make the difference needed, improve work relationships, and improve relationships with the patients. All of these things helped to lead to improved outcomes in the work environment.
Evelyn is a true nurse hero, delivering the best care possible to her patients and her team members!!
