Evette Dominguez, RN
Evette Dominguez was asked to help with coordinating a procedure for a patient that is seen at Westgate by one of her providers. She graciously volunteered to assist the provider, despite the task at hand being difficult. The coordination took almost three weeks, and she worked tirelessly on it until the day before the procedure. She significantly raised the bar for patient care and was able to help an anxious family whom she would not otherwise have contact with. This was a complex patient who needed OR/anesthesia coordination among three service lines. The patient was able to be scheduled for sedation for all three procedures on the same day so that he did not have to go under anesthesia multiple times. This is not an easy task to accomplish with a pediatric patient, but it was successful because of her hard work and dedication to the family.
