On Friday, January 3rd, my 9-year-old daughter was in for an outpatient procedure for a hernia she had. Like most children, she was scared, nervous and so worried. My husband and I would tell her every day that she was in good hands and that we would be with her. Still, she was scared and worried.

The morning of the surgery, we went into Surgicare and the first person that walked into our room was an angel. Her name was Evon. The demeanor Evon had about her was priceless. She really made my daughter feel safe and that everything was going to be okay. To be honest, she put a smile on my daughter's face that I haven't seen since before we were told she had to have surgery. Jenna's frown was turned upside down. I've never been in a room where it beamed with brightness when someone would walk in. We will never forget her kindness to us. She is a wonderful nurse and we cannot thank her enough.
