Evony provided excellent care to my husband during his short stay on Palliative Care. She was always smiling and professional with everything she did. She explained aspects of his care, what to look for as death approached, and assured us that if anything was needed, all we had to do was ask.
Evony recognized the need for an increase in pain medication and was proactive in helping to make him comfortable. It was comforting to know she was there, not only doing a very demanding job where surely some can be more difficult than others, but just knowing that her interests were focused on meeting specific needs.
Evony's professionalism, kindness, and support was greatly appreciated. Without nurses like her, it would be more difficult to watch someone you have loved most of your life take his last breath. She exemplifies what a nurse should be a deserves to be recognized.
