Risk Management received a phone call from the patient's mom sharing that Ewa had a patient overnight who unfortunately passed away.  The patient's mom called and shared that when her son got to the floor, Ewa took her time to get him cleaned up, and even washed his feet.  The patient's mom has very strong faith and when she was telling me about Ewa's care for her son she said it was 'like Jesus.'  She got tearful expressing how grateful she was that her son was offered this dignity before going to Heaven.  She shared that her son is very smart, but does not always adjust well in social situations and was often judged and treated unkindly throughout his life.  Because of that, it makes her even more grateful for how kind and caring Ewa was towards her son that evening, and she said it has given her some comfort during such a difficult time.
