Fabian was an angel for my mother during her final days. Although my mom was never fully conscious during her last week, it was evident that she loved Fabian and responded well to his care. Words cannot express the gratitude my family and I have towards Fabian. He was with her every night, taking special care to address our needs and concerns, and treating her as he would his own mother. When the time came for us to let Mom go, Fabian was there to give us comfort in our grief.
One specific story cannot embody all that Fabian was to Mom and our family. From patiently explaining her condition and prognosis, to keeping it light-hearted at times with his love of Jamaican coffees, Fabian was alongside us for it all. Although all the nurses in the ICU were wonderful to my mother, Fabian stands out and above. Although losing my mother has been the worst experience of my life, I am so grateful that Fabian was there and became part of our family during it. You have an amazing ICU staff, and Fabian is a prince among nurses.
