My 5-year-old son was admitted to the hospital due to an accident at school. Fabian eased his pain multiple times by talking nicely and playing with him while carrying out his duties. Before his catheter was changed to a silicone one it constantly clogged and it caused my son excruciating pain. During Fabian’s shift, he was able to manually drain the catheter using syringes multiple times which was less painful for my son. To ensure that he slept well and would not keep screaming, he was very gentle.

I called Fabian multiple times almost every 30 minutes and he did not once have a frown on his face. He was so gentle and always let my son play with his turtle light. Every time he had vitals and medications during the night shift, he was so gentle my son did not feel anything. His time with my son showed how much he cares.

My family spent 10 days in the hospital, and we encountered many nurses, but Fabian stood out because he kept a calm and warm attitude all the time. He engaged my son with every encounter. It made my family members trust the care my son was receiving. He is well-suited to be a pediatric nurse.
