Fabi stands out as a dedicated nurse and a true advocate for the patients and staff. Fabi cares for every patient as if they were her family. She goes above and beyond to ensure the patients' needs are met and are as comfortable as possible. She is a nurse who provides support not only to the patient and their family members but also to her fellow colleagues. Fabi has an approachable non-judgmental manner that makes it easy to ask for her assistance, advice, and guidance. And for this very reason, she extends herself way beyond what is necessary. I am truly grateful to have known and worked with Fabi. Every day with her is a great one and I always learn something from her.

A patient was admitted to the ICU for DKA because the insulin pump ran out of insulin. The patient was later DC home and MD missed adding the vial of insulin to the DC medications. Although Fabi had two other patients as we were short-staffed, Fabi made sure at the end of her shift she found a 24-hour Walgreens that had the insulin and took the prescription herself to the patient. Fabi always puts her patients' safety first! Here in the ICU, she is a superstar.
