Faith was there for us in the most difficult time of our lives.  We met her during my daughter’s first week of preparation for transplant.  We, as a family, were in a very difficult and confusing situation.  We were learning new routines and new medications.  We were told that this would probably be the most complicated phase for my daughter, facing the unknown, scared, worried, with thousands of questions that we could not even understand; and there was Faith with a smile behind her face mask, giving us the answers, explaining as many times as it was necessary, but the most important part was, being in the best nurse for my daughter, comforting her when she was sad, motivating her to take her meds, giving her space when she needed it.  I know that the nurse’s job is to take care of their patients, but Faith really went above and beyond for my family.  She always tried to help my daughter feel better when she was not feeling great.

We were at the hospital for a long time, and unfortunately, I had to go back to work. Knowing that my baby was being taken care of by Faith was a great relief for my heart.

One of the biggest moments of them together was when … was refusing to drink water and meet her goal, so Faith started a “drinking challenge” for both of them, knowing that my daughter was going to be motivated to drink water.  Those are the things that show how amazing she is at her job, but most importantly, how an amazing person she is.
Faith is a great nurse and a great friend.
