I have been at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center visiting and caring for my mom daily. During this time, I had to go to the ER and was admitted to 5E Med/Surg. I was discharged midday, however, while discharge orders were being completed, I needed to be in my mom's room for a meeting with the hospitalist and a nurse manager.
Faith worked with me, helped me, while I was still inpatient myself, to get to my mom's room with an IV and cardiac monitor so that I could be at that important meeting. This was out of the ordinary and important to me-showing compassion and excellence in nursing the whole person. Thank you, Faith!
