After my father had surgery, he came back to the room. The RN Faith came in on the night shift and she was like a breath of fresh air, an angel really. Before she got report and started, she was checking on my dad and did not like the blood pressure. She came in with advocacy and excellence. The care, compassion, dignity, and respect she showed my dad was beyond any nurse I’d seen so far. You could tell she loved her job! I know my dad can be a little grumpy, however she was comforting and kind. She not only delivered excellent care to my dad, but she also took time with my mother, giving her comfort and support and taking care of her needs. Faith is amazing! She took her time to actively listen and be supportive. Any nurse can do nursing thing/processes/tasks, however it takes an extraordinary RN to care for a patient as a whole and to focus on mind and soul as well as disease. To care for family is just another attribute that Faith showed.
