October 2019 Honoree
farahh mcmillan, RN
I have suffered 3 pregnancy losses in the last 4 years. My 1st loss was my first encounter with Farahh who helped me through an incredibly tragic time in my life. She took care of me when I delivered my one living child and showed an enormous amount of compassion for my anxiety during birth. I had a loss at home in Feb 2019 and was recently was diagnosed with a blighted ovum. I reached out to Farahh to see if she was working as I was scheduled for a D&C. She came in on her day off. She made a horrible day a little less scary knowing I was in her hands and she knew my history. I work in the medical field and I have never encountered a more compassionate nurse in my life. I'm eternally grateful for her and the W&C staff. Losing a child, much less 3, is absolutely horrific and to know people like Farahh are there to get you through it means everything to my husband and me.
Thank you, Farahh, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
