Fariba was so caring and focused on me as her patient. She consistently took away my fears. She encouraged me even though I was afraid. She would come in my room and see if there was anything that I needed. You see I am an older patient 83 years of age. I realize that she had other patients but she went out of her way to see that I had the essentials such as wash cloths, toothpaste, comb as well as necessary pain medicine.

Fariba is an amazing nurse. My daughter was admitted to CDU for asthma complications. Fariba went above and beyond her nursing requirement for make my stubborn teenager comfortable. She related to my daughter by finding out about her passion and love for skiing. She spoke to her at first about her skiing and quickly gained her trust and developed a relationship. My daughter was receptive and open to Fariba's directions and advice. This is often a challenge with a stubborn teen. Every time Fariba entered the room, I knew she would say something funny and when she left my cranky sick daughter would have a smile on her face.

Fariba is an outstanding nurse! She goes above and beyond the call of duty for her patients. I was in the CDU Unit and there is one bath room for 6 rooms. I was in the first room so I had to walk past all the other rooms to go to the bathroom. Fariba said "Don't you worry, I'll bring you a portable potty for your use and I'll empty it for you". She did it with a smile. She noticed I was cold and brought me heating pads and warming blankets. At lunch time, I heard her go to her patients and ask them if anyone needed help ordering lunch. She helped one man, placed his order. She never stays at the nursing station. She was in and out of the rooms making the patients comfortable. She noticed my back was uncovered so she brought me another hospital gown to wear to cover my back so I wouldn't be cold.
