Fattu’s soft-spoken mannerism endears her to the patients, family members, and staff. Fattu is known for her skill in handling difficult wounds and her willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that her patients have the supplies and orders to facilitate wound healing. Recently Fattu has had some medical challenges and so some of her difficult patients had to be reassigned to other nurses who were overwhelmed by the care needs of her patients. Fattu also rearranged her personal schedule to continue seeing her patients. This selfless act of kindness was not lost on either the staff or the patients. Fattu has also been one of our preceptors for many of the new nurses and continues to be a mentor to them despite her own heavy caseload. She is one in a million.
