Tina took on the role of Matron for two acute wards during an extremely challenging time for the wards. She rolled up her sleeves, never complained, took on the nursing leadership role, and put patients and carers first. She has covered the wards when there were staff shortages and ensured quality improvement projects continued as she clearly has a passion for improving the quality of care and the experiences of patients on her wards. Tina leads by example, is present and available to support others working in the wards. She is the epitome of a great nurse leader who encapsulates the trust values of safe, caring, and excellent. The improvements on both wards continue under her leadership. Tina is a keen learner and has been proactive in using feedback from peer reviews to develop an improvement plan to make Sapphire Ward a safer and more therapeutic environment. She truly is a dedicated, compassionate nurse who goes above and beyond. Her exemplary behaviour, hard work, and dedication are to be recognised and commended.
