Fay was recently caring for a patient that was admitted with a dislocated shoulder and fractured humerus. The patient was homeless and had no family in the area to assist him. She knew that he was going to be discharged the next day following the closed reduction of his shoulder. Knowing that he had no resources,Fay took his clothing home to wash it so he would have clean clothes upon discharge. She also brought extra clothing to him to take with him. Her coworkers realized her good deed when she arrived on her day off to drop off the clothing to the patient before he was discharged.

Fay is definitely a role model for others in the areas of compassion and exemplifying the healing touch. She impresses her patients daily with her compassion, warmth and willingness to go above and beyond. This is also evident in our patient's satisfaction survey comments as Fay was mentioned 4 times in the month of April! She goes above and beyond in quiet and selfless ways.
