We had a patient on 2 East for 2 to 3 months. In mid December, Faye came to me to ask if it would be possible to get a ride for the patient on the red golf cart. The patient had been outside with staff to walk several times and always talked about the cart. The golf cart ride was approved and Faye was able to take the patient for a ride on Christmas Day!

Over the months the staff adopted the patient, bringing him new clothes for Christmas and decorating his room. When it was time for him to leave the facility he cried while telling Faye and the staff he did not want to leave his "family".
