Faye organized a Christmas surprise for a patient who had been hospitalized since September. Staff on the unit signed up to provide needed gifts to use while hospitalized and had a gift opening party before he transferred to Select Care a couple days before Christmas. Faye was sneaky in finding out the patient's shoe size, robe size, favorite types DVD's, body wash, etc. The patient was very overwhelmed. A physician even joined in and gave. The patient didn't want to move from his unit family. We didn't want him to move either! What a Merry Christmas for all of us!
