I have been in the hospital 3 times within the last month and my nurse, Fe Tayo really stands out. I am writing this letter to make sure she gets recognized and gets credit for the great things that she does for all her patients including me. Many nurses took care of me but Fe is right on the top. No one can match the respect and compassion that she showed me, my family, and my roommates.
Fe always goes out of her way to get something for me, even though she doesn't have to. She pays attention to detail and doesn't let up till she gets an answer from the doctor. Fe has the patience of a saint and there's never a dull moment with her.
She treats her patients as humans and not just a number or statistic. It's hard to find people like her nowadays and I wish more people in the world would be like her, she treats her job not just as a job to get a paycheck but to care for people.
She explained things to me and took the time to sit with me. There were many times that I didn't understand what the doctor told me and I didn't feel like asking them questions because they might think I'm stupid, but Fe was right there to explain it all.
She really deserves recognition for the job that she does every time. Fe made a huge difference in the way I look at things. She touched my life and other people's lives.
