Fekadu was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient who was on the Ortho/Spine unit.
The patient writes that “Fekadu is unbelievably caring and kind. His birth country is Ethiopia and he has seen much sadness in his home country that his love for all people shows through in all he does. He is a servant to his patients.
Fekadu checks on his patients regularly and always answers his call bell and is calm and pleasant every time. He went out of his way to make me and my family feel comfortable. He called the doctor promptly with issues and always communicated well, answered my questions, and checked on me hourly.
Fekadu’s attitude and his love for his patients will keep patients coming back to Piedmont Medical Center.”
