Felcor Guimbalista, BSN, RN, CMSRN

Day in and day out, Felcor consistently went above and beyond the call of duty in his care for a particularly challenging patient with an unusually extended LOS.

During the patient's long stay, Felcor could often be found walking with the patient along the many hallways and bridges that link the hospital, accompanying the patient to religious services on campus, and serving as somewhat of a mentor, sharing his wisdom and some of the lessons he has learned from his life with the patient.

At the same time, this did not diminish the quality of the care he provided for the other patients on his unit. Felcor has proven to be a caregiver of extraordinary talent with a capacity for compassion and empathy that few others in his field can match.

It must also be stated that the nursing team that Felcor works with is second to none, and I imagine that he will try to pass much of his credit on to them. This, in and of itself, is a testimony to both the quality of his care and his character.
