Mrs. Cobbs was my very first clinical instructor and she opened my eyes up in so many ways professionally and personally. The amount of effort she put into us students every day in lecture and in clinical was unreal she made sure we all knew how to do things properly and in the best way possible. She takes so much pride in helping us in every aspect of our education and she has the best way of teaching along with the most patience I have ever seen too. If we were needing more help with skills or topics, she always let us know that we can take as much time as needed for us to be able to comprehend. Now that I have advanced further in my education, she is still there for me if I ever need help or to talk to. She prayed over a group of us last trimester before a final while all of us were struggling and I truly feel that when she did that it helped me get through the trimester. She is genuinely the best teacher I have had at Baptist and she is the reason so many of us get further in our nursing careers.

While I was taking foundations of nursing, I was fortunate enough to meet Mrs. Cobbs. She has been one of my most steadfast supporters ever since the day we first met, and she has never stopped giving me words of wisdom and encouragement. She approaches everything she does with grace. Her leadership abilities are among the most outstanding I've ever seen, and she has a way of making every person around her feel like a genius (even though God knows I'm not). She is not your typical professor; rather, she is the one who brightens even the cloudiest of days and infuses a sense of joy into the educational process. She shines the light of Jesus everywhere she walks and spreads love like no other. Professor Cobbs would do everything in her power to ensure that each and every student felt involved and heard. When you left her side, everything would have made sense, and another thing about her is that she always leaves an imprint in the life of the person, whether it was for a little minute in a laboratory class or simply by passing her in the hall, the kind of impression that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Her personality is magnetic and she is your HYPE man in everything you do. She will remind you to not forget your "WHY". The second you have the feeling that you are going to drown, she will be there to pull you out of the water. She instills nothing but GREATNESS in her students and molds them into genuine leaders. Someone's daughter, wife, mother, friend, sister, she is a God sent to this University. If you don't know this already, then you surely do now! I can say this for everyone, we love you Professor Cobbs and you will never understand the impact you have made in all of our lives!

Felicia Cobbs was an amazing Foundations Professor in the class. Her calming, caring spirit wanted her students to excel. She would always instruct us to do our best and the way she didn’t mind calling on God and/or praying over us when asked. I really began to love her even more when clinicals began and she created an atmosphere that made me and my peers closer than family. I could tell that in the way she teaches, this is her calling and she came to clinical and class week after week and showed just that. She loves what she does and for that, I would love for her to be recognized and appreciated for her wonderfulness. She has qualities that every professor should exude. She will forever be appreciated.
