My husband was diagnosed with liver disease 5 years ago and we have had multiple ED visits as a result. Typically, he is seen at Avon Hospital but came to Medina's ED this week. I was not sure what to expect but wanted to share what a great experience we had. The nurses who have cared for my husband in the past have been really good and we have no complaints regarding care received. At this ED visit; however, he was cared for by Felicia Killinger and this was the absolute best experience and care we have ever had.
First, Felicia was so kind to both of us. It was apparent that she loved her job and taking care of patients. The ED was very busy that day, but she never made us feel like we were bothering her. If we asked for water, she came right back. In the past when a urine sample was needed, I would be given everything to help my husband. Felicia did it all. While helping him she even joked with my husband to help put him at ease. To say Felicia is the best nurse is an understatement. She went above the call of duty and I want her to know how appreciative we both are. No one ever wants to go to the Emergency Department, and she made it a positive experience. I thanked her that day but wanted to make sure her leadership and the hospital's leadership were aware too.
