Felicia has received several nominations in the past for her care and commitment to the Veterans and their families. Her nomination letter was written by a fellow VA employee regarding the excellent care Ms. Martin provided to her father during his hospitalization in CCU. The daughter stated the following, "Ms. Martin was a great blessing to my father and the rest of our family while my dad was hospitalized. To keep me from having to take off work, she kept me notified by phone. She also kept my sister in Georgia notified."
Throughout the nomination letter, the daughter continued to reference Ms. Martin's "beautiful smile, attitude, and work ethic" while she cared for not only her dad but other patients. "No matter how many times I went to the desk and asked for something, she would get up with that beautiful smile and get whatever my dad needed. The next day when he felt better, he told me that she was one of the hardest working nurses there because she was always running around doing something."
