We had been planning for months to attend our daughter's wedding in Canton, Ohio. I was so excited about walking my youngest down the aisle. Despite illnesses that resulted in the loss of 50 pounds, I managed to purchase a new suit, shirts, etc. and to make the trip to Canton. Sadly, it was not to be. I was admitted to Mercy Fairfield the day before the wedding with CHF complications.
However, thanks to Felicia, what could have been a very disappointment wedding day was turned into a wonderful celebration. Felicia decided that we would have a day to remember. First, she spoke to Mercy's IT department about ways to stream the wedding. Next, she arranged for a cake and flowers to be delivered for us to enjoy, along with a card signed by many of the nurses and caregivers on the floor. She even saw to it that we would not be disturbed during the ceremony. As it turned out, another daughter face-timed the event for us. For us, it was a triumph we never expected.
I received excellent care from many Mercy Fairfield nurses. We were so pleased with their skill and compassion. Felicia rose to the top not just because of her wedding-related actions, but because of her amazing ability to sense my needs. She was on top of every single issue.
