Fely Yabut is a devoted nurse, a very valuable unit resource, an inspiration for others and a pride of this position. She always treats her patients and their families with respect and offers good support so their needs will be met. She works tirelessly as a Charge Nurse. She knows how to communicate clearly and effectively with the patients and their families. She is a good patient advocate. She is constantly working to improve the quality and to recognize the positive impact of education for patients and families. She leads on Awareness Days like Thyroid Cancer Awareness Day.
She was our Magnet Champion for throughout the Journey of Excellence. She fulfilled this role with passion and dedication and prepared the unit very well throughout the journey. She involved herself in different Magnet Activities/Kick Offs. She gives education to co-workers as the journey progressed and worked to explain the impact of Magnet Accreditations. Presented topics in the Journal Club. She has a personality with lots of confidence and cheerfulness.
She is an excellent Charge Nurse through her effective communication, problem solving abilities and organizational skills. She has strong leadership skills that set her apart because she is always willing to help other whether the patients, their families or even her fellow staff nurses. She goes beyond and above to assist the team and be involved in decision making. Furthermore, she is an excellent Team Player. She is highly respected by the multidisciplinary team as no assignment is too big or small for her as she carries out assignment with total commitment.
She is a very compassionate person. She does not just hear but listens to others and offers support when needed. She treats all her colleagues equally regardless of the difference. Provide support when they need someone just to talk to. She encompasses the hospital values and mission in her daily activities.
