I would like to acknowledge a nurse who quietly and consistently goes above and beyond every day. Feoni Sharpe is an LPN Sr. in the neurology clinic at RGH. She obtained her LPN while working with the team & is currently working towards her RN, as she followed her passion to provide quality care to our patients. She always treats her patients with respect and listens to their concerns. She is known to spend countless hours struggling with insurance companies to obtain approval for what her patients need. During the recent pandemic, Feoni stepped up to serve in every way she could. She answered the call to deploy from the ambulatory clinic to inpatient nursing without a second thought. While taking on this full-time work she also worked in her home clinic – knowing her coworkers who were working short staff and needed help. On top of this, she agreed to man the covid employee hotline and ultimately became a great resource to the department as rules and processes changed daily. Feoni did this while shouldering the same child care issues that so many were faced with. I stand in awe of Feoni’s dedication and commitment as a nurse. I am proud to work with her as she inspires us all to do our best, with righteousness and without complaint. What sets her apart from other heroes is her selfless giving which is driven by her passion for excellence, dedication to quality care, and unwavering compassion to care for her patients, her nursing team, and her community.
