Fern is spunky, sassy, and full of life. She is very outspoken and never stops advocating for her patients. She is the one person I can say embodies the mind, body, and spirit of a nurse. She comes to work with the same mission every day. She comes for the sole purpose to heal with gentle hands. I have never seen a nurse so independent and focused on both medicine as well as taking the time to wash her patient's hair, braid it, and have their face cleaned and make them feel like they are at the spa. She cares about how her patient is presented to their family while also doing everything she can to do what is best for them. To me, Fern is the most hard-working, a true DAISY Nurse. If anything were to ever happen to her, it would be a monumental loss to our organization, our patients, and our community.
