...I was hoping that we would get a nurse who would be the best for my father. They assigned Fernando for the day shift. From the moment I met Fernando, I got the most wonderful feeling and I said to myself that he seems to be both a great person and a great nurse and indeed I was so right. I just can't believe that we got so lucky to have had Fernando taking care of my father.
As a matter of fact, once I knew he would be working the next day also, I made sure to ask the charge nurse to assign him for my father again. Fernando truly is a real human being and a great nurse. He is so courteous, comforting, sweet and loving. He is extremely dedicated. His character is the best. He makes you feel like a very important person and as if here were to take care of a member of his own family. I can't believe that he made us feel as if we were in our own home rather than in a hospital. He took the BEST care of my father in every sense of the word.
He was so efficient, so knowledgeable, and so great with whatever he had to do for my dad and with me. Because of him I was able to learn so much more that it created a wonderful feeling and relief knowing what exactly had been happening with my dad's health situation, and due to that I ended up knowing better what to ask the doctors and feel better in every step of the way for what was happening. So, many procedures which were not clear to me and that I was real scared to have them done for my father, just because Fernando had explained to me in a very easy way how the things were, it totally made me so comfortable and relieved, and made me want to go ahead and have them done for my father, that otherwise I was very hesitant and scared for doing them.
He is an amazing teacher, an outstanding nurse, and a great persona and human being. I could have not gotten a much better nursing service anywhere else. He definitely is an asset to any organization. Meanwhile I would like to thank you too for having hired such a wonderful nurse for your hospital. Anybody who'll have the chance to have Fernando as their nurse is the luckiest person. I wish we'll have the opportunity again to be helped by Fernando or someone else in another department by someone like Fernando. He really deserves to receive the DAISY Award. Thank you.
