My mom had a heart attack and was air-lifted to Our Lady of Lourdes. Each nomination has its own story, but every one of these people showed care for her wellness before and after her operation. Along with being informative and knowledgeable, they all exhibited genuine compassion and empathy for her and our family. You cannot teach this, but they have it!
Michael: At Heart Hospital. We can't say enough about Michael. It was like she had her own personal coach. He motivated her during walks by using words of encouragement. He even roped in all the nurses at the nurses' station to cheer her on as she made it back to her room successfully, after taking a walk with no breaks for the first time.
Heather: We had the privilege of having Heather in the ICU at Lourdes. She was so engaging with my mom and all of the family. She helped keep everyone's spirits alive, even though we were all scared. She definitely helped us all through this tough time. We all absolutely love Heather!
Shaquan: At Heart Hospital. The pure professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to put her patients at ease are second to none. When she was needed, she was immediate with response and so sweet!
Brett: At Heart Hospital. He was our first nurse here after surgery. Of course, we all had so many questions and concerns. Brett was exceptional at comforting us, teaching us, and getting us the answers we needed in such a vulnerable time for us. Brett was knowledgeable, responsive, and very patient with us!
Nick & Cade: At Lourdes. They were the dynamic duo of nurses. Not sure why they were paired up, but it was awesome to have the attention that they were able to give us. They also took the ride with my mom from Lourdes to Heart Hospital, and without them, she would have been miserable. They kept her comfortable and even came to visit her after the surgery to see how she was doing. This pleased Momma's Heart!
