Flora has shown proven leadership skills, elevating the spirits of 5B staff with her contagious energy on multiple occasions and planned events for 5B.
Flora is an exceptional nurse, one who not only provides exceptional care to her patients and families but provides a positive environment when working next to her. When one watches her nurse - she has uniquely mastered her nursing and communication skills; always delivering care with a family-centered approach. In addition, her skills have been coupled with the utmost compassion and empathy that resonate through her presence with her patients, families, and colleagues. As a colleague, she has provided 5B General Surgery such a positive environment; in particular during these times of uncertainty, high patient acuity, and high patient census. An example of this is during Nursing Week - Flora organized several activities, convincing the majority of 5B staff to become involved, further uniting 5B as a team, and strengthening the already established strong bond that 5B holds. As an RN Council Representative, she has shown proven leadership skills, elevating the spirits of 5B staff with her contagious energy on multiple occasions and planned events for 5B. She is consistently providing regular updates to 5B staff and is extremely approachable if one has a question about RN Council, or about patient care. Her positive energy has been contagious, and in turn, in times of uncertainty with a high patient census, and high acuity it has been such a pleasure working alongside her. There have been multiple times I have come to work, and a surprise organized by Flora placed a smile on my face - most recently when she provided all 5B staff with personalized care packages and cards for Nursing Week. Thank you Flora for all that you do - with your patients, families, and staff. It is an absolute pleasure working with you.
