I am a member of the staff in the Urology Practice, but I turned into a patient while on duty. Florence quickly called her staff to check my vital signs, and she immediately called the ED to expect me with a severe headache. She followed through and made sure that I was attended to immediately. I had an intracranial bleed and ended up in the neuro ICU. The next morning, Florence came very early before her shift started to give me a bed bath, etc.

In the Urology Clinic, she is the person to approach when there is a patient in distress, especially newly diagnosed prostate or bladder cancer patients who are having difficulty dealing with the news. She has a unique way of speaking and encouraging our patients to hold onto hope and adhere to the provider's recommendations.
