With great praise, I nominate nurse Floridel Nacion for her attention, follow-up, and continuous rounds on patients, inspecting places where blood is drawn, treating blood traces, monitoring the patient monitor screen, and quickly arriving at the patient’s room to carry out the necessary procedures.

I was admitted to the ICU with a heartbeat of 150/minutes and severe palpitation. I was worried and tensed about my heart condition. My condition was critical and the doctor told me that I may need shock if my heartbeat did not go down. Nurse Floridel stayed with me during my difficult time, explained to me in detail about my condition, and started on IV medication. I felt much better by her compassionate care and loveable attitude.  Her words and presence made me feel comfortable even though my heart was beating fast and it was not just her job.

Whenever I asked for any help she came to me with a smile and attended to all my needs. Besides that, she was cautious about my invasive lines, blood collection site, and any small alarms in my monitor. She makes frequent bedside checking and makes sure that I am comfortable and stable. I appreciate her and hope she is honoured for her professional attitude towards her patients.
