Fondia Perkins, RN

I am recognizing Fondia Perkins for her extraordinary qualities that make her an excellent nurse. Fondia treats every patient with dignity, kindness, and respect. She treats each one of her patients as if they were a family member, even those who are difficult at times.

She has a unique ability to help find solutions to give our patients the best patient experience. She goes above and beyond in individual care so that patients experience that personal one-on-one care, which in return they feel understood during their time of crisis. Fondia is always looking for opportunities to improve patient experience. Her peers and patients speak highly of her service to anyone she encounters.

Fondia is dedicated to her colleagues, patients, and HCA. She has continued to encourage her peers to find creative ways to serve patients during times of change. She takes the initiative to explore those ideas with staff and hear from them. Everybody at work praises her ability to create a collaborative, open, and welcoming environment. She treats everyone as an equal and values the contributions of all staff. 

Fondia truly embodies the mission of nursing for HCA and the standards of care that continue to inspire her coworkers and patients daily.
