Fran was truly just amazing. She went above and beyond, was so caring, warm, and thoughtful. Prior to surgery, the patient and his wife had concerns regarding nausea and vomiting after anesthesia. The procedure was scheduled for later in the day so his stomach would be empty, but he was still nervous about dry heaving. She let me come back into recovery and sit with him. Fran was just amazing; she did everything she could to manage pain and advocated for more medication for nausea and vomiting. After the recovery phase, she came over to the short stay unit and helped him get out of bed to the chair, got him something to eat and drink, and made him comfortable. Her knowledge and skill is so evident.
