Frances Ajose, BSN

I have been a patient of the VA for the past 30 years.  For the last 3 years, I've been treated at the Geriatrics Unit, where I met and had many occasions to observe and witness Ms. Ajose's outstanding leadership, service, personality, and treatment of me and many other veterans and their families, as well as her fellow staff members.

With my experience as an NYU Administrator and faculty member for over 20 years, I immediately noticed that the desired nursing qualities outlined in your criteria (PETALS) were evident in Ms. Ajose. (I regret the omission of Efficiency as one of the criteria, for it is another one of her admirable qualities.)

I was fortunate and blessed — as were many others — to know and be assisted by Ms. Ajose over the past few years. She has always been willing to support me with whatever I needed — without hesitation — in a kind and friendly manner.  She is a pleasure to work with and truly an extraordinary nurse.  Therefore, without reservation, I strongly recommend and support Frances Ajose for this outstanding award, as she embodies all the outlined qualities of a DAISY Nurse.
