I experienced a difficult pregnancy. I developed pre-eclampsia at 37 weeks and was admitted to the hospital for my blood pressure. I was in labor for 26 hours. They tried the balloon to help dilate me and contractions through an I.V. They even broke my water to help the process of giving birth. During all of those hours the nurse who held my hand the entire time was Frances Baker. She was always checking on me, she always made sure I was comfortable. I was in so much pain. She was on top of me the entire time and made the process of my pregnancy as well as my experience at Clara Maass Great!

My son was unable to stay with me in my room because his blood sugar was low. He was born early and had to stay in the nursery. I had a C/Section and the very next day I was so sad that I didn't see my son that she helped me into a wheelchair and dragged all the I.V. with me to make sure I could go to Special Care Nursery to hold my child. She made my day and there's nothing better than that feeling. She's Extraordinary.
