Empathy is shown by Echo to every patient and co-worker he meets. He listens and then shows his true heart to the patient.
Echo began his journey 5 years ago at LACH as a wound care nurse. He then was promoted to Charge Nurse in SubAcute. During the 5 years, Echo became proficient at wound care and wound care management. He has been instrumental in promoting the NO HAPI (No Hospital Acquired Pressure Injury). For which he was promoted to Wound Care Coordinator for LA and Norwalk.

Echo far than meets the PETALS Criteria as follows: Echo’s Passion for nursing and the patient goes above and beyond and shows in his care. Empathy is shown by Echo to every patient and co-worker he meets. He listens and then shows his true heart to the patient. T is for THE TEAM and Teamwork. Echo is ready and available to assist with patient care, education, champion of the CAUTI program, and urinary catheter insertion. He assists with the training of new grads and is always teaching. He has been instrumental in monitoring the NDNQI for wounds and falls. Echo is very much loved by staff. A is for his attributes, a quality Echo instills through his flexibility and dependability. He is always available to assist wherever needed as stated in T for Team. Echo’s LOVE of nursing shines through in his care, creativity in programs to further the hospital, and in advancing his education. Most recently, he achieved his Masters in Nursing. Plus he always greets you with a hug, positive words, and a smile (if the mask is off). S is for selflessness. Echo is always concerned about his patients' and co-workers' needs and wishes. He will go out of his way to make those wishes happen and will address each concern to the best of his ability. Echo truly is a DAISY Nurse Leader. LACH is proud to have him on the Nursing Leadership Team.
