Fran was compassionate, kind, and she worked tirelessly to make sure our goal was accomplished.
I was in labor with my first child for 26 hours. For the last 12 of those hours, Fran was my nurse. When she came on shift, I was mentally and physically exhausted and ready to meet my son. The first thing she asked me was, "What's your goal for tonight?" I told her I wanted to deliver my baby NOW. Fran said, "Okay, that's what we'll do then! What do you need before we start?" I told her I needed a 30-minute nap. Fran allowed me to rest for 30 minutes, and then she came back and got started!
She had me in all different positions on the peanut ball all night long. Every 30 minutes, she was back in my room switching positions and encouraging me to keep going. By the end of her shift, we had a baby (as she promised)! She was compassionate, kind, and she worked tirelessly to make sure our goal was accomplished. She never lost patience with me even when I was very sleepy or hurting and didn't feel like participating in the next peanut ball activity. She is a phenomenal nurse and I know that anyone who has had her would agree.
