Frazontra Pitts-Garland, Registered Nurse

Franzontra Pitts-Garland is an angel. I had been in the hospital for three weeks when I got her for the first time. She listened to my concerns. She validated them and then provided educational information and professional care. But beyond that, I was scheduled for discharge and the surgeon found a problem. I was told I would have an I&D and may have to go to another facility for further treatment. I had a nervous breakdown. She told me to have a friend send my favorite meal. Then she said we couldn’t address I&D, but my hair could be done. She found materials to help me tend to my hair and she checked on me the entire night. All went well with the I&D and she was my nurse again. I was rather loopy from meds and she was kind and patient. I couldn’t have dreamed of better care in such a different time. She is the epitome of a nurse.
