I want to share something with you that has occurred this evening/morning. Fred showed extreme compassion to one of our patients. Mr. B has been a very confused patient on the VSPCU. Fred took the time to calm him down and then asked if he would like it if he sat in the room. Mr. B replied "yes."
Fred then gowned up and Fred is currently sitting in the room with the patient, holding his hand while he sleeps...honestly, for the first time in days. I know right now it's easy for everyone to complain about how bad things are, so I thought it would be a good time to share some of the amazing things that are currently happening in our unit.
