It was a day no different for Miss Frenz Maloloy-on of HRPU. A typical duty day with sprinkles of toxicity and what-nots. It sure came as a surprise when the DAISY banner came into view and Cinnabon's cinnamon roll filled the unit with a sweet buttery scent. Miss Frenz was awarded the daisy award on behalf of Patient's story of her extraordinary care during her stay in SLMC-GC.
"I want to nominate Nurse Frenz because she's been very caring, compassionate, an extraordinary nurse. She assisted in my delivery. I had emergency CS and my husband was not yet present when they bring me to DR. I was really nervous but Nurse Frenz cheers me up. She told me, "Ma'am andito po ako. I'll be with you inside the DR and the recovery room". With her words I felt that she cares for me. She inserted my IV line very fragile that I just felt a little pain. True enough, she never left me. She even took photos of my baby during delivery because my husband was not around. She patiently assisted me in breastfeeding my baby and even carried my baby to burp. I also appreciate her in giving my medication. She said she is giving it slowly because that medication is painful and when my husband arrived, she let my husband see the baby and she asked my husband to write a message for me because he cannot go inside the recovery room. I am really grateful having her as my nurse."
