April 2026 Honoree
Gabby Tennant, BSN, RN
Gabrielle and another nurse took a patient who had been hospitalized for 25 days to watch the sunrise. The patient is tracheostomized and ventilated due to their clinical condition. The patient was in the recliner, due to the cold weather (30 degrees), they couldn’t take the patient outside. So, they pushed the patient in the recliner from C2/SICU to E8 MICU so he could see the sunrise over the water.
This 90-year-old patient, who may not have many more sunrises to see, was able to do that today.

Thank you, Gabby, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
