There is so much to say about Gabe. My father requested that we share our appreciation by recognizing Gabe. My father has been hospitalized for 5 days now and has been cared for by many great nurses and staff members, however, Gabe's kindness and personality have impacted my father greatly. He feels genuinely cared for and upbuilt when his nurse is here! Gabe's patience, compassion, and professionalism have been heartwarming to see as I have spent much of the time here with my dad. After a revision of this initial surgery, my father insisted that Gabe be around him. While medicated, my dad dreamt that they had a race (Gabe lost). This, of course, is just an example of the impact he has had on one of his patients. My father is a strong man, but even shed a tear when hearing that Gabe would have to leave his side even temporarily. This nurse reflects everything Essentia strives to uphold and I simply could not fit all one could say about him on this sheet of paper. I am grateful that Essentia has a nurse like Gabe around and know that anyone under his care is in great hands
My dad wanted to add, "Thank you very much for what you do to help others. I won the race fair and square...and you were happy for me!"
