He genuinely listened to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. I can tell that he loves his job and is very good at what he does!
Gabriel Orellana made my emergency room visit as pleasant as a (department) visit could be. He explained everything he would be doing and talked me through each procedure. He genuinely listened to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. I can tell that he loves his job and is very good at what he does! Gabriel deserves recognition for his hard work and dedication to being a nurse. I was having a horrible day and felt terrible, and his care and support helped me to get better. I really haven’t had an experience before in a hospital where I wanted to rave about the nurse, but Gabriel wowed me so much I had to find someone to tell. I cannot be more thankful for the care I received from Gabriel and grateful there are people like him in this world.

I would like to thank my nurse, Gabriel, from the emergency room. I went to the ER at St. Margaret on Saturday at 8:00 am for symptoms of a heart attack. My heart rate was 172, and I was in A-fib. Nitroglycerin was not a treatment option since it caused my blood pressure to bottom out. It was a challenge as to how to get my heart rate back to normal. Gabriel was so knowledgeable that I thought he was a doctor. He was genuinely concerned about my condition. He provided me with exemplary care and attention. Gabriel had a great attitude, and it was obvious that he enjoyed his work. My son was driving in from out of town. He is a physician assistant, and Gabriel took the time to speak with him over the phone and explain my condition.
This is Gabriel’s second DAISY Award!
