When my husband was admitted for open heart surgery, Gabriel was there to guide us through every step of the way. I live in a beautiful city with great hospitals, but Doctors Hospital and their nurses have left me speechless. The extraordinary care provided by Gabriel is by far the best I have ever seen in my life. My husband remained in ICU for 4 days after open heart surgery and for those 4 days, we were lucky to have Gabriel by his side. Looking at my husband on a ventilator was very difficult, but Gabriel quickly made me feel comfortable with what I was seeing. He educated me on his vital signs and showed me exactly what each of the numbers on the screen meant. I was overwhelmed with emotion, by just the thought of possibly losing my husband through this difficult time. Gabriel was always very positive and reassured me several times, by saying "he has many hurdles to jump, but he is going to be okay." I was at the bedside when Gabriel took my husband off of the ventilator along with other members of the hospital. I was afraid for him and felt that maybe he wouldn't be able to breathe on his own, but again Gabriel was there and made it very easy for me to comprehend and understand that this was my husband's next step. He had progressed so well, and I believe Gabriel should be thanked for my husband's wellbeing. In fact, I don't know how to thank him enough, he is our guardian angel. What a blessing he has been for our family and I know he will do the same for others. He is a nurse with a big heart and mends those that are broken. My husband today is up out of bed and walking and will be discharged tomorrow. Gabriel came by to give us his last blessing; he checked on us and made sure we were ready for the discharge home. Although we came in afraid and with many questions, we are leaving tomorrow at ease and grateful. Gabriel is a nurse who has become one of the great blessings to humanity, he decided to become a nurse and make the most important decision to dedicate himself to care for others.
