I am 36 and have colon cancer which has spread throughout my body. I have days left at most. I want my night nurse Gabby to get credit for consistently and tenderly caring for my every need. She is soft-spoken, which is so calming. She was alert for ANY sign of a need she could fill. She took the initiative when needed. In the middle of the night when I needed so much to feel something cold in my mouth and I was very limited due to difficulties swallowing, she brought me a popsicle, smashed it in a cup, and hand-fed me small spoons that I could swallow without coughing. During my week stay, she was a bright light. I want her, and others, to know what an outstanding nurse she is.
