Gabriela Bryan, RN

My mother recently passed away at Banner Boswell. It was a difficult process as she was only 57 years old. I previously was a hospice social worker and currently work in a SNF, but it all went out the window when it's your own family. Gaby was our nurse one of the nights. Her caring and compassion are like none I have ever seen. My mom's passing wouldn’t have been as comforting and graceful if it wasn't for her. Other staff would ask lots of questions and leave. Gaby truly checked in with me and provided things I didn’t know I needed. She also knew how to explain things medically and broke them down to where I could process them at that time. She told me it was ok to rest and provided reassurance when I started to doubt myself. She spoke in such a sweet soft voice and was very attentive. She made me feel like my mom and I were the only people there and that we had a one-on-one nurse even though her unit was full. I’ve worked in health care for 10 years and she is one of the best nurses I have interacted with.
